Are you dreaming of having a London wedding? Whether you’re looking to say “I do” in one of the world’s most romantic cities or plan a low-key ceremony that’s just the two of you, then today’s blog is just for you. This gorgeous editorial delivers all the London elopement inspiration you could want; from Grace’s stunning Monreal Bridal dress to the striking architectural scenery of the city. London is one of the best cities for an intimate wedding; it’s full of romantic and picturesque locations, making it the perfect place to elope. Whether you’re looking for stunning architecture or breathtaking views, the city has something for everyone.
For this high-end elopement editorial, we shot at three beautiful locations to showcase the timeless romance and beauty of a London wedding. Grace wore the insanely beautiful ‘Tina’ dress by Monreal Bridal with a detachable overskirt, with Ciaran complimenting her perfectly in black tie. I love a black tie wedding in London, the sophisticated dress code matches all of the effortlessly chic locations that the city has to offer. As a London wedding photographer and someone who has lived close to London all my life, I know firsthand the truly unique charm of the city. It’s always so exciting to shoot there as it’s always changing and has something different every time I’m there!
St. Paul’s Cathedral
We started our shoot at St Paul’s Cathedral which provided the perfect backdrop for this gorgeous elopement shoot. The grandeur of the building, the beautiful neutral stone and the sweeping steps provide couples with so many opportunities for their wedding photos; it really is hard to rival the iconic setting of St Paul’s!
Piccadilly Circus & Regent Street
Next, we made our way to Regent’s Street & Piccadilly. One of the best things about eloping in London is that in a tube ride away you can be somewhere with a totally different vibe and backdrop. Not to mention the opportunity to get some amazing photos whilst you’re on the tube to really capture the storytelling of your London wedding. Piccadilly Circus is always bustling with activity and there is a good chance the London tourists will stop to congratulate you on your wedding day! Cross the road to Regent’s Street and you get a different feeling again; the glamorous architecture and sweeping crescent of the road give the opportunity for some incredible photos.
Westminster Bridge
Finally, we headed to Westminster Bridge, one of the most picturesque locations in the city. We were so lucky to catch a golden hour here! This was the perfect way to end the photoshoot, capturing the romance and magic of London’s streets as the sky turned gold.
