I am serving you the biggest slice of golden heavenly deliciousness today on the blog! I was lucky enough to attend a beautiful celestial-inspired wedding editorial at the Bodleian Library in the city of Oxford last month. To say I was OBSESSED with these gold Chosen by Kyha dresses is an understatement, so trust me when I tell you that if you haven’t ever considered wearing a gold wedding dress before, then you definitely will after seeing this.
Bodleian Library Wedding
Surrounded by beautiful warm stone buildings, the (historic and world-famous) Bodleian Library is located in the heart of Oxford. If you choose to have your wedding here, you will be completely spoilt for choice with stunning backdrops for your wedding day. The Divinity School had such beautiful light and teamed with amazing neutral backdrops; I honestly can’t imagine any wedding theme that wouldn’t suit beautifully in this room! I was really amazed at how magical the rooms are and can just imagine how wowed your guests would be attending a wedding in this gorgeous setting. The outdoor locations for wedding photos were also giving me huge destination wedding vibes, so the possibilities for your couples portraits are literally endless!
Chosen by Khya Gold Wedding Dresses
The absolute show-stoppers of the day were these two champagne gold wedding dresses from Chosen by Kyha. They literally took my breath away! In the beautiful light of the Bodleian library, they looked like liquid metal and believe me when I say that the sparkle on them was beyond magical. Zara was wearing the Nile and Amaya by Chosen by Khya, both from Ellie Sanderson Bridal. Tofa also looked absolutely flawless in an off shoulder dress by Eva Lendel, which was bringing allllll the drama to the Bodleian Library!
Celestial Theme Tablescape
As well as all the beautiful dresses, we were completely spoiled with this starry-themed table! It featured personalised napkins from The Embroidered Napkin Company and gorgeous menus and nameplaces from Papermill Calligraphy. One of my favourite details was the custom drinks wall by Jessica Brown Events. Imagine your guests turning up and being greeted with your own personalised drinks wall with a much-needed signature drink! I really loved all the little details put together to make this celestial theme wedding shoot, but at the same time feeling so elegant.
If you are considering a wedding at the Bodleian Libray and want a stunning mix of historic mixed with the truly breathtaking, then I cannot recommend this beautiful building enough. Even the fact that the Divinity School featured in the Harry Potter films would be enough for me to fall in love with this place haha!
